The Romantic Road is Germany’s most popular tour.
Tourcycle.ca is proud to offer this tour as its’ 2010 signature tour with Tour Coordinator, Allan Stokell.

5 day leisurely tour includes use of a guide, accommodation and most meals as well as city tours
Welcome to Germany's Romantic Road. Bike past castles and through medieval towns
on dedicated bike paths and little used roads. Eat local foods with the locals and
stay in locally owned inns and guesthouses. Rides are pleasant and leisurely, based

There is lots of time to stop for photos and explore ancient towns and perhaps even do a little bit of shopping or explore rococo churches, romantic gateways and fairytale castles.
We ride the bike trail through the German states of Franconia, Swabia and Upper Bavaria crossing the rivers Tauber and Wornitz. As we head south the changes from gentle rolling hills to at least one rise that we will probably 'roll' our bikes up.
We choose our accommodation based on our standards set out in our Mission Statement (link) using locally owned inns and guesthouses that show uncommon respect for our environment and restaurants who serve locally grown food and local wines and beers.
The tour includes:
- The tour as described above
- The services of a North American guide
- A walking tour of medieval town
- Most food (breakfast, picnic lunches and first and last day evening meals)
- Water while on tour
- 4 nights accommodation
You will provide:
- A touring bicycle (we can help with a rental if necessary)
- Panniers (saddle bags)
- Clothing and items of a personal nature
- Any alcoholic beverages you may consume
- Transportation to and from starting point

down coverage - Bad weather coverage
- Health insurance (for foreign visitors)
