You don’t need to be a lawyer to understand this, but if you like, have your lawyer look it over before you agree to it.

 

Bicycling is dangerous, so bicycle tours, especially in places you haven’t been before are especially dangerous. We do all that we can to limit the danger to our clients, but sometimes things happen, and we cannot be held responsible for anything including inconvenience, additional expenses or even injury or death.

 

We offer breakdown and rain coverage. This is not any form of insurance, but a way of  allowing our guide to assist clients at a time of  need with adequate help not covered in our agreement.

 

We recommend that you have adequate insurance before  you start this tour. This insurance should cover any disability that you have or could incur, health insurance for those who do not have health coverage and other coverage as required. In Canada our health insurance covers hospital and doctors visits and operations for residents, but excludes dental work, chiropractors, and most prescription drugs. We recommend that you have full coverage including life insurance before taking one of our tours.

 

Many injuries are caused by falls. We require each participant to provide and use head protection in the form of a helmet suitable for cycling. We will refuse anyone who at the start of the tour does not have a helmet, or does not wear a helmet during the bicycling portion of the tour.

 

We train our tour guides on safety and insist that they are trained in first aid and CPR. They will explain the safety procedures for the tour when you arrive and ask you to sign a waiver. No matter how well trained an employee is, they can forget or fail to complete their job properly. Tourcycle.ca endeavours to make sure each client is looked after properly but we cannot take any responsibility if they are not, no matter the cause or consequence.

 

We offer ground tours only. To do this we partner with a number of people and businesses. From time to time, some businesses offer better client service and sometimes worse. We choose our partners based on our past experiences with them. If there is a problem with one of our partnered businesses, please first bring it to the attention of our guide. If they cannot settle the issue, then they will suggest a number of alternatives. For us to resolve issues, we must know about them within a reasonable period of time. We will sympathetically listen, and pro- actively work for resolution of all issues, but we must know about right away. Although we endeavour to resolve problems as they arise, if we fail to do so to your satisfaction, we cannot be held financially responsible.

 

Sometimes a tour guide realizes that for any number or reasons that they may have to make a change in the tour itinerary. We realize that this can impact our clients, so we  only make changes when the tour might be negatively impacted by weather, construction or issues beyond our control.

 

Tourcycle.ca does all we can to make sure each client is completely happy with our service. Sometimes there is a small problem that has not fully impacted our clients enjoyment, but we can still improve things for our next tour. Please complete our evaluation  at the end of the tour. It makes us better.

 

Sometimes our tours do not fully book. In such cases the tour goes ahead unless it is not economically feasible, in which case we fill be forced to cancel the tour and will fully refund your money. Although we reserve the right to cancel tours at any time,  we will provide adequate notice. In the case of tours of 3 hours or less, that may be 24 hours. For 2- 3 day Canadian tours it will be 48 hours and for international tours 2 weeks.

 

In the end, tourcycle.ca endeavours to provide the best possible quality tour. If for whatever reason we cannot do that, we are very sorry, but have no moral or financial liability.

You’re best to plan ahead, but just in case...

Our Policy

‘No shows’ are a huge problem. Even a days warning can net you a 50% credit. If you can’t make it for whatever reason, please let us know as soon as you can. Someone else can attend in your place if you wish to arrange it.

To claim refunds or credits, please contact our virtual office, anytime day or night. Subject line should read “Refund” or “Credit” and the name and the date of the start of the tour. Some servers don’t deliver mail right away, so we will contact you as soon as we receive the email. The Cancellation date is always the date we receive the request. There are no cash refunds. Authorized refunds will be processed within 14 days of receipt less any additional cost incurred.
